Q1. Define A.I?

Ans : In simple terms, we can define AI as a machine that can simulate human thought process and can take actions based on those thoughts and even draw conclusions. It should also be able to correct itself, if it makes a mistake. This also means that AI based computer would be able to make a decision in a given situation like human beings and in some cases even better.

Q2. Name the types of A.I.

Ans. Following are the types of AI:

  1. Artificial Narrow Intelligence
  2. Artificial General Intelligence
  3. Artificial Super Intelligence

Q3. What is strong A.I?

Ans. The machine can mimic human behaviour with the ability to learn and solve problems. It can think, learn and decide in a similar manner as humans would do in a situation.

Q4. Briefly explain any four tasks performed by A.I.

AI machines are expected to perform the following tasks:

  1. Generalised Learning : This model of AI is capable of drawing conclusions from the existing data and producing new results based on the new data.
  2. Reasoning : This model of AI can make decisions based on some rules and give proper results in some really difficult situations.
  3. Problem Solving : This model of AI is specifically built to handle problematic situations and figure out the most efficient path to handle the situation.
  4. Adaptability : This model of Al is designed by to adapt to the conditions it is put in and draw conclusions based on these data.

Q5. Write three domains of A.I.

Ans. Data, Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision.

Q6. Define the term DATA.

Ans. Data are the facts and figures which are processed to find meaningful results. Data plays a pivotal role in the field of AI. Data collection is the process of collecting and sourcing information from numerous sources.

Q7. Briefly explain types of NLP?

Ans. Following are the types of NLP:

  1. Optical Character Recognition for converting written and printed text into data. • Speech Recognition involves converting spoken words into data.
  2. Machine Translation where the source language is translated into target language without human interference.
  3. Natural Language Generation is a software process which converts structured data into natural language.
  4. Sentiment Analysis is a process used to determine whether a piece of text is positive, negative or neutral.
  5. Semantic Search is understanding the intention behind any search. It also optimises the search operation by giving possible search predictions.

Q8. Define HMI.

Ans. HMI can be defined as the interaction and communication between a human and a machine. It is a dynamic technical system which finds novel methods to let the communication take place between humans and computers.

Q1. What do you mean by Internet of Things (IoT)? Name some everyday examples of IoT we see around us.
Ans : Nowadays, we have a plethora (ढेर सारे) of devices that can connect to the Internet and access information. These interconnected devices are known as IoT. Amazon Echo, wearable fitness bands being among many such examples.

Q2. Humans tend to be emotional at times. Write down your opinion on whether Artificial Intelligence is capable of comprehending human emotions or not.
Ans : AI machines cannot have their own emotions, but they can mimic emotion, such as empathy.
They can also read emotions like facial expressions, gestures, tone of voice, force of keystrokes and more to determine a person’s emotional state.

Q3. What are the tasks performed by Computer Vision domain of AI?
Ans : A CV can perform the following tasks:
  • Object Classification: It can analyse and identify a particular object among many in an image or a video.
  • Object Identification: The system analyses visual content and identifies a particular object of an image or a video.
  • Object Tracking: The system processes any given video and finds the object that matches the searching criteria and then tracks its movements.
Q4. Human-Machine Interaction is an essential aspect of Artificial Intelligence. Name some key areas where you see and use HMI in your daily life.
Ans : Some of the examples of HMI are as follows:
  • Touchscreens
  • Keyboards
  • ATM
  • Natural user interfaces
